Similar to casement windows, awning windows feature multipoint locking hardware, triple weather seal, folding and nesting crank handles from Europe, and multi chamber frames and sashes. They have dual multi point locks as the window cranks open from the bottom rather than the side. Screens are mounted on the inside of the window for easy removal. Awning windows are a popular choice in kitchens over the sink as they provide unobstructed views and can be open for fresh air, even when it rains!
